Hello Kitty Screensaver 1.0

This Windows screensaver, offered free of charge by Wallpaper Screensavers, has two things going for it: it is cute, and, as mentioned before, it is free. Get this screensaver and when your computer will go idle, this screensaver will kick in and cutesy it up by displaying various Hello Kitty-related images.

You are in for a cutesy overload, because this screensaver displays a grand total of 18 images. The screensaver uses various transition effects to switch from one image to another. From the settings pane you can select the effects you want the screensaver to use (there are plenty to choose from).

From the same settings pane you can select for how long an image will be displayed (the default value is of 10 seconds), the order in which the images will be displayed, and how the screensaver behaves (for example you can set it to ignore mouse moves and exit only when you press the ESC button).

The “Start image painting on Desktop” option is interesting. Normally the screensaver just kicks in when the computer goes idle. When the “Start image painting on Desktop” option is selected, the screensaver doesn’t just show up; it uses a transition effect to pop in.

Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, Hello Kitty Screensaver provides support for Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, NT, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Tested the screensaver on Windows 7 and it seems to work fine on this Windows version as well.
Limitations – there are none since this application is freeware. You can use it free of charge for as long as you want.

• Changes Internet Explorer’s home page to knightstar.net; not your default browser’s homepage, IE’s homepage.
